Now, it’s time to implement these strategies and ALIGN with the best version of yourself.
In the final installment of the Reset Edit, Sam Tahan (Nutritionist + Founder of The Well Society) shared her takeaways on finding humility, the power of going inwards, and simple morning practices that ground her energy for the day.
ALIGN
with @sam.tahan
You only have 15 minutes to set the tone for your day. What are your morning non-negotiables when you’re running low on time?
Sam Tahan: Love this question! If I only have 15 minutes, I prioritize the following things:
-
Hydration - starting my day off with water and pinch of salt
-
Standing by a window while I get ready for some natural light
-
Habit stacking stretching while making coffee and breakfast
-
Giving myself even one minute to breathe before beginning on my tasks
What’s your take on discipline? How do you walk yourself through challenging moments, both on and off the mat?
Sam Tahan: In my opinion, the only way to get through challenging moments and have any kind of discipline is to have a purpose and a reason. You have to be so committed to that purpose that it helps you find the willpower to get through the hard moments.
If you had to pinpoint one “secret ingredient” for achieving mind-body-spirit alignment, what would it be? How does it fuel lasting success?
Sam Tahan: Self-knowledge is the key. If you are unaware of yourself, your strengths, your flaws, how can you expect to become aligned. The more you know yourself the more intentional your decisions become and ultimately the more resilient and productive.
What's your favorite Arrae product and why?
Sam Tahan: Arrae Bloat! It has never failed to help ease my symptoms if I get bloated from eating out or traveling.
One undervalued quality you wish more people would embody:
Sam Tahan: Humility. Be able to listen, adjust, and understand the wisdom of those that might know more than you.
